Question
Me and my mom has training in the injection of Enbrel so she can injected in the my arms when the time comes. Tonight she injected into my right arm in the back of the arm. When she put the needle in I got a pain in the front of my arm. I thought it was from the way I had my arm so she could do the injection. But now it is a hour later and I still got the pain. I have been on Enbrel since Sept. 2006 with no problems not even a injection site reaction. I have no pain at the injection site. Could this pain be from her hitting a nerve in my arm?
Answer
It’s difficult to tell without seeing exactly where you are having the pain. In general, if you hit a nerve, I would have expected pain going down the arm into the hands rather than just to the front of the arm.
