My doctor now says I have erosive arthritis. I said of course it’s erosive – it’s arthritis( 7 years RA diagnosis). Is this something new?

You are right. RA is an form of erosive arthritis, but interestingly, patients with RA can have varying degrees of joint erosions. I do not know the context in which your doctor is using this term or why he is using it now. I do know that rheumatologists in general are looking more at the level of joint erosions in their patients, since the new drugs appear to be better at preventing erosions over time.
