When is the new drug, febuxostat going to be available in the market and is it effective and safe? Any side effects?
Answer
The FDA has asked for further information and thus I do not know a date. In the studies that I have seen presented, it looks to be effective and well tolerated. It will be a welcome addition, particularly in those patients who are not able to tolerate allopurinol.
