My husband is 42 years old our primary physician says hes the worst gout patient he has ever seen. He has chronic gout and my question is i heard there is a new drug called febuxostat that may help gout patients more so than allpurinol. Can you tell me when will this drug be on the market?
Answer
We were expecting it this fall, but the FDA has put a hold on it again. Its fate remains uncertain.
