I have been on remicade for a year.Is it safe to get the flu shot this season? Also what do you think about foot surgery, when the inflamation and pain at the bottom of the foot is causing excrutisting psin to walk? the calluses at the ball of the foot are very painful.

A flu shot is recommended for all patients on Remicade and the other TNF inhibitors, Enbrel and Humira. The shot does not contain any live flu virus. You should NOT use the nasal flu vaccine that DOES contain a weakened form of the live virus.
