Has anyone developed cancer from taking enbrel? it so, what kinds?
Answer
The issue of cancer and the TNF inhibitors (Enbrel, Humira, Remicade) is being watched very carefully. Although there have been some patients who have developed cancer while taking these medications, the number of cases of cancer is not any higher than what would be expected in the normal population. But there are large studies in progress to make sure that there is not increased risk of cancer with the TNF inhibitors.
