Question
I have been recommended for the above drug and would like to know if it has recorded any side effects with the patients that have been prescribed this course of medication. Also are there any percentage charts showing before and after results on the patients ( not to include placebo results). Also,is the course of treatment over a stated period and not continued.

Look on this website for a discussion of etanercept in RA. Just as in RA, etanercept has been well tolerated and very effective in AS patients. Look in the Arthritis News archives on this website for a summary of the etanercept AS trials. The original papers were authored by Dr. John Davis, one in the New England Journal of Medicine and the other in Arthritis and Rheumatism.
