What are the pro’s and cons of Actonel versus Boniva. Can I get as good of results with Boniva?
Answer
Both are effective drugs for osteoporosis with similar side effects, mainly GI upset. Boniva 150 mg is taken once a month on an empty stomach and you have to wait one hour before eating. Actonel 35 mg is taken every week or 75 mg on two consecutive days monthly wating 30 minutes before eating.
