Is there a scale (or a questionnaire) that measures risk for arthritis? We would like to include it in a research study with older registered nurses.
Answer
Not to my knowledge, in part due to the fact that the risk factors that have been identified have been modest. You might read some of the papers by Dr. Allan Gelber in our Division on this topic. The biggest risk factor is prior injury to the joint (such as ACL tear).
