I have a serious allergy to sulfa drugs and cannot take cox-inhibitors? Any suggestions? ( for pain relief of RA)
Answer
Other NSAIDs do not have sulfa components. The older non-selective NSAIDs might be used with a proton pump inhibitor (prilosec, prevacid, protonix, nexium) to help protect the stomach.
