Can Fibromyalgia be treated with Remicade or Arava?
Answer
There are no studies showing showing the benefit of these agents for fibromyalgia and there is no evidence that systemic inflammation plays a role in the disease. Also, given that the patients with fibromyalgia generally do not respond to anti-inflammatories including high does of prednisone,there would be little rationale to do such a study with anti-TNF agents.
