Question
I am 66 years of age and have had an increase in groin pain on my right hip. I have had x-rays on both hips that show a normal amount of arthritis for someone my age. I had MRI last Friday and will see my orthopedist next week for results. I am now in excercise therapy with some benefit. My question: Is Synvisc therapy for hip joint a possibility?
Answer
Although some physicians administer it and it makes sense that it would work, it is not FDA approved for the hip, only the knee.
