What is this RA med I have heard about Ariva or Aviva?
Answer
Arava or leflunomide is not new. It has been approved for RA since 1998 and was used for organ transplant rejection before then. It has similarities to methotrexate including the side effect of liver enzyme elevation. See our RA treatment section.
