I’m currently taking Bextra 20mg daily and I was wondering if I can take any other OTC meds for just normal pains(i.e. headaches,sinus)without any drug interactions?

I have a serious allergy to sulfa drugs and cannot take cox-inhibitors? Any suggestions? ( for pain relief of RA)

I have taken vioxx the past couple of years with great results. I am now being given the opportunity to replace Vioxx with Mobic. With the recent announcement of Bectra(sp) also under attack, is it ‘smart’ to proceed down the Cox2-road with Mobic or should I try something else?

I have taken Naprosyn, Ibrofen, and then Vioxx, then Bextra for a very painful herniated disc at C5-6. Has anyone done studies on the effectiveness for pain of the old NSAIDS vs. the new NSAIDS. I had to stop taking the Vioxx and Bextra due to hypertension, and I’m now back on Ibuprofen.

morning what I could take in the place of Vioxx and other cox 2 medications and he said frankly I do not know with your ulcer problem.Could you please help me out.I have severe Cervical arthritis,my feet,hands and chronic Bursitis in both shoulders.I have had OA for over 30 yrs.Iam 69 yrs old and have been walking 5 days a week since I retired 15 yrs ago. I cannot take NSAIDS and Tylenol does nothing for the stiffness of my OA .I was taking Vioxx but stopped at the first reports of problems with it.I had a MI 15 yrs ago.

Can Celebrex be taken with Ultram?
