Does taking Glucosamine chondroitin, calcium and omega fish oil have any bearing on my gout attacks?  So many foods are listed as possible causes of gout, can you suggest a diet that one can live with?

Does allopurinol have any narcotics in it?

I came down with gout in my left foot and when that resided a little I got a pain in my neck,had X-rays done and came up with a pinch nerve what I would like to know do you think that gout has something to do with my neck because it been about 4 mouths and the gout came back and my neck started hurting to after the gout resided thanks.

What would be a recommended diet for this affliction?

While overseas, I have been diagnosed with gout by a specialist. The pain and swelling from the initial attack has never fully stopped (4 months later). The specialist has mentioned that this is due to an inflammation feedback mechanism and has prescribed Loxitan. (Active ingredients:. Meloxicam) which I have been taking for a month. Some of the pain and swelling has decreased but I still walk gingerly and cannot run. In laymans terms what is an inflammation feedback mechanism and have you ever heard of these pain symptoms lasting so long with a gout patient?

What is the connection between polymyalgia rheumatica and occasional occurence of gout? Is mild exercise recommended such as walking or swimming?
